Page Layout Info
As you move through the site you'll find that the layout of most every page is basically the same. This page is here to help
familiarize you in that layout so you can get the most out of your time here. It should be noted that due to the side
column this site is best viewed with a screen size setting of 1024 x 768 or larger. It will work at 800 x 600 but some pages
will seem a bit cramped at that size. Also when pages of items like pencil boards / shitajiki, idol / lami cards, posters
and others that have a linked image (i.e. of the back of the item or a larger version of the shown image) both the shown
image and the linked image will be loaded up. Due to this even after all the displayed images have been loaded up the page
will continue loading.
The above image of the standard page layout has been numbered and those numbers match up with the eight headings found below
which have also been numbered.
1 - Search Function:
Just under the D.A.F.S. name image in the top left you'll see an input field, two radio buttons and a button labeled "search".
This is the means you would use to make use of our search engine to help you find the items you're looking for more quickly.

2 - "Search By Index" Link:
Another way to look for what you want is to use our index search function. This is pretty straight forward, if you want to
search by item type, click on items in the first column on the left, if you want to search by the title select the range that
contains the first character of the title. Select the title or item type in the second column then the page you want to open
up in the third column.
3 - Active Page Links:
Under the "Search By Index" link are a group of links, these lead to some of the more active pages on the site and are as a
result of that fact made more accessible to you so you can get at them more quickly.
4 - Cart Contents:
As you purchase items your current sub-total will show up in this table. Any earned volume discounts will also be reflected
in this number so if you add something and your sub-total goes down, not up, that would likely be the reason. A "view cart
contents" link is also in this table, clicking on this will show you the details of what is in your order at that time. You
would also click on this link and follow the directions you'll find in the resulting page when you have everything you want to
order loaded up in your shopping cart and want to complete your order.
5 - Links Below the "Cart Contents" Table:
When viewing a page of various items two lists of links will appear here. The first shows all the links to pages of items
for that title, the second list is all the pages for that item type. This will allow you to more quickly get to relevant pages
of other items you would likely be interested in.
6 - Time and Date:
To the right of the D.A.F.S. name image in the top left you'll see a date and time listed, this should be the current time
and date in the Eastern Standard Time time zone which where D.A.F.S. is located. Please take note of the time listed there
if you wish to call us.
7 - "Info and Help" Drop Down Menu:
Here you will find a listing of various pages and sections on the D.A.F.S. site such as this one. If your browser can use
JAVAscript and you have it marked as an active option the page you select from this list should load up once you select it.
If not just click on the "GO" button beside the list.
8 - The Large Black Area:
The red top and left borders hold links and such while the larger black area holds the body of what you're looking at. This
is the area that will change the most, while what is found in the borders will remain basically the same the contents of this
area will be different in some way for each page you load up.
